This Tamil-language romantic comedy centers on Anbu, a schoolteacher in Pondicherry from a traditionally minded family, who falls for Jessica, a British-born colleague raised in India. Their romance stirs tension in the community, as local prejudice and disputes involving Jessica's father complicate the couple's relationship with Anbu's family and neighbors. The story explores how caste, nationality, and old resentments toward the British shape the town's reaction to their love.
