Set in a village, this Telugu romance drama follows Suri, a boy from a modest background, who falls in love with Divya, a young woman from a wealthy family. Their relationship faces fierce resistance from Divya's aggressive brother, Sankaram. The 1999 film marked the acting debuts of Sumanth and Antara Mali and was directed by Ram Gopal Varma, who also wrote its screenplay and dialogues.
