A soon-to-be-crowned prince in the kingdom of Pritampur struggles with strained family ties and a rocky engagement to a neighboring princess, while his estranged siblings pursue a legal claim against him and a rival brother plots against his life. When the prince is gravely injured, a look-alike traveling performer is brought in to secretly stand in for him, and his warmth and kindness begin to mend the royal family's broken relationships and win the princess's affection. Set in a palace drama of mistaken identity and family conflict, the story follows how this impersonation reshapes loyalties within the royal household.
