This Hindi musical romance follows Chandramohan, the son of a man who loses his legs protecting his wealthy employer, as he grows close to his employer's daughter Neelima after being taken into their household. Their budding romance angers her father, who sends men to attack Chandramohan, leading to violence that gets him wrongly blamed for a death and confined to a youth detention facility. Inside, a sympathetic superintendent recognizes his feelings for Neelima and works to help the separated couple.
