A young man who bears an uncanny resemblance to a deceased police officer is recruited to impersonate him in order to capture a dangerous criminal, leading him into a dangerous web of corruption and deception involving multiple parties with conflicting agendas. The film explores the backstory of the officer he's impersonating—a morally compromised cop whose descent into corruption was driven by personal tragedy and a desire to help struggling police cadets.
