Tamil · 1992

Directed by Gangai Amaran — Ramarajan

Set in a Tamil village, this 1992 film follows Ganapathy, an enthusiastic cinema hall employee and devoted film fan, as he falls in love with Karpagam, a girl from a neighboring village whose father opposes cinema. Their budding romance faces obstacles from the theatre owner's dissolute son, who pursues multiple women and schemes to win Karpagam for himself, leading to conflicts that eventually reveal long-buried secrets about the theatre's true ownership.

Where to watch in USA

We haven’t been able to find out. The catalogues we check have no entry for this film at all, which is common for older and regional releases — it means nobody could tell us, not that it isn’t streaming.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
