This Tamil drama follows a van driver hired to carry an elderly man's corpse on a long road trip to its hometown, even as his own pregnant wife awaits a risky delivery back home. Along the way he is joined by a chatty, unsuccessful folk performer, and the journey turns chaotic as the deceased's two feuding sons scheme to control the funeral rites for their own inheritance claims. The trip is further complicated by breakdowns, chance passengers, and rivals trying to seize the body for their own purposes.
