Set in a rural Indian village, this drama follows a bitter clash between two fathers: a wealthy and ruthless landowner and a poor laborer working under him. When the laborer's young daughter is brutally assaulted by the landowner's two sons, he seeks justice but is thwarted by a bribable doctor and a corrupt police officer protecting the powerful family. The film, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and based on a novel previously adapted into another film, traces how this struggle pushes the laborer toward increasingly desperate measures.
