This Tamil romantic drama follows Sunil, a talented heart surgeon in Trichy, whose past resurfaces when a woman named Sunitha brings a sick child to his hospital and reacts to him with anger. The story flashes back to their days as medical students in Chennai, where they fell in love despite the watchful protectiveness of Sunil's brother Bala, a reformed local tough guy. A family crisis involving Sunitha's sister and a forced marriage drives a painful wedge between the couple, leaving Sunitha to blame Sunil for events beyond his control.
