Peddannayya centers on Ramakrishna Prasad, the respected head of a large family who has long feuded with a rival power broker, Bhaskar Rayudu, once his close friend. Devoted to raising his three younger cousins and their mother, Ramakrishna repeatedly steps in to shield his siblings from scandal, debt, and manipulation orchestrated by Bhaskar Rayudu and his allies, even as his own long-delayed romance with a devoted woman named Seeta Mahalakshmi remains on hold until his family is settled. The story follows the escalating clashes between the two families as loyalty, sacrifice, and old grudges come to a head.
