This 1991 Tamil drama, written and directed by K. Bhagyaraj (who also stars and scored the music), follows a man who arrives in a village pretending to be Pavunu's uncle who vanished twenty years earlier, and works his way into the family's trust while falling for her. As his deception unravels amid village politics and a jealous local leader's schemes, the truth about his real identity threatens the bonds he has built with Pavunu's family.
