A young nautical graduate falls in love with a woman he meets during his daily commute, but their romance is complicated by misunderstandings involving his female roommate and best friend, who harbors secret feelings for him. When the roommate's brother spreads false rumors about their relationship to Shankar's parents, it sets off a chain of misunderstandings that threatens to keep the couple apart. The film follows Shankar's efforts to navigate these conflicts and prove his true feelings.
