Set largely in the mid-1960s, this Tamil drama follows two brothers in South India whose lives are shaped by the growing resistance to Hindi being imposed as the country's national language. As one sibling works to fund the other's education, they gradually find common cause in the movement, drawing the attention of a ruthless intelligence officer determined to crush the dissent. The story blends family bonds with a wider struggle over language, identity, and regional self-respect.
