Set in an isolated village where women are expected to stay veiled to avoid an ancestral curse, the story follows Subbu, a woman loyal to this custom whose integrity comes under doubt after a strange incident. To defend her reputation, she leaves her sheltered life behind and travels toward the Himalayas, joined by her aunt Rathnamma and Ami, an architect grappling with her own struggles in contemporary life.
