Pagal Nilavu

Set in the coastal town of Muttam in Kanyakumari, this 1985 Tamil gangster drama follows Selvam, a drifting young man who becomes indebted to local strongman Periyavar and joins his gang out of loyalty. His life grows complicated when he falls for Jyothi, the sister of a newly arrived, principled police inspector who is determined to curb Periyavar's hold over the town. Selvam finds himself torn between his allegiance to the gang and his pursuit of Jyothi, even as tensions escalate between the inspector and the criminal network he serves.
