Padikkadavan follows Raja, who works as a taxi driver to support and educate his younger brother Ramu after the two are cast out of their family home and taken in by a kind adoptive father. As Raja resists local drug traffickers and falls for a woman initially involved in smuggling, Ramu drifts toward a wealthier, morally compromised circle through marriage, straining the brothers' bond. Their lives become further entangled with a smuggling ring and a judge whose past connects unexpectedly to their own.
