Padamati Sandhya Ragam

Telugu · 1986 · 142 min · romance, romantic comedy

Directed by Jandhyala Subramanya Sastry — Thomas Jane · Sivamani · Vijayashanti

Set among Indian immigrants in the United States, this Telugu drama follows Sandhya, whose traditionalist father relocates the family abroad, where she becomes romantically pursued by two men outside her culture, including a white American named Chris. Framed by a present-day visit to India after her father's death, the story unfolds largely in flashback as it traces her cross-cultural romance and its strain on family ties. The film explores themes of assimilation, tradition, and love across racial and cultural lines within the Indian diaspora.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
