Directed by Jayarajan Rajasekharan Nair

A Malayalam adaptation of Chekhov's 1886 story "Vanka," the film explores the bond between a boy and his elderly grandfather, his sole family member, set in a contemporary South Indian village. The narrative reimagines a 19th-century tale within a modern setting, featuring a fisherman in the role of the grandfather alongside supporting performances that drive the story forward.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
