This Tamil thriller follows Shekar, a returning NRI in Chennai who grows anxious about his daughter's independence and pushes her into an early marriage while pausing her studies. His nights of drinking with friends, arranged by an autorickshaw driver, lead to an awkward encounter with a sex worker in a vacant garage he owns, and a mix-up over a misplaced bag belonging to a struggling filmmaker leaves him and the woman unexpectedly trapped together overnight. As they wait to be freed, the two strangers share their personal struggles and secrets, setting off a chain of events connecting several characters in the neighborhood.
