Operation Java is a Malayalam crime thriller inspired by true incidents, following a cyber crime unit in Kochi as it tackles cases like pirated films, fraudulent job schemes, and a killing over roughly eighteen months. Two young engineering graduates take on temporary positions with the unit and use their technical know-how to assist the officers in cracking these cases. The narrative also touches on how digital technology can be misused and highlights the often-overlooked contributions of temporary or trainee workers.
