This 1990 Tamil comedy horror film follows Selvaraj, a farmer from a small town near Theni, whose family is upended when a hastily arranged marriage joins him with his cousin Kamatchi after her original wedding collapses over a dowry dispute. Strange occurrences soon suggest Kamatchi is being possessed by a spirit connected to Selvaraj's father, who works in Singapore, prompting Selvaraj to travel abroad with his wife and two priests to uncover the truth behind the haunting and clear his father's name. Alongside the supernatural mystery, the film includes a comic subplot involving two characters in Singapore.
