A 1962 Tamil romantic drama in which Seetha is separated from her lover Murali after her parents marry her off to another man, Venu, while Murali is studying abroad. Years later, when Venu falls seriously ill, Seetha and Venu cross paths with Murali again, now working as a physician, setting up an emotional conflict between past love and present duty. Directed by C. V. Sridhar, the film became known for its brisk narrative style and its theme of romantic sacrifice within a love triangle.
