This 1983 Hindi drama follows police officer Amar Nath, who marries against his family's wishes and later falls victim to a vengeful criminal he once had imprisoned. His orphaned daughter Jyoti is raised by her once-estranged grandfather, and as she grows up, an arranged childhood betrothal to Deepak resurfaces, sparking conflict, misunderstandings, and shifting relationships involving Jyoti's boyfriend and a film actress who takes an interest in Deepak.
