After being evicted for unpaid rent, a young man learns that a wealthy uncle has decided to leave him a large inheritance instead of a spoiled cousin, and he sets off by truck toward Bombay to claim it. Along the way he unknowingly picks up a runaway bride disguised as a boy, and the pair's bickering road trip gradually turns into an unlikely romance. The film follows their journey and the complications that arise once they near the city.
