After a communal riot destroys his family, a once-ordinary young man spirals into drinking and crime, becoming an enforcer for a ruthless, self-styled invincible landlord who dominates the town through wealth and intimidation. When the landlord orders him to target the family of the man his own daughter loves, the enforcer's conscience is stirred by the courage of the man's sister, and he falls for her while turning against his employer. Their growing bond and resistance set off an escalating confrontation between the people and the tyrant's oppressive rule.
