Set within a Malayali Syrian Christian community, this 1986 romance drama follows Solomon, who runs a farm and vineyard near Mysore, as he falls for Sofia, the daughter of his family's new neighbors. As their relationship deepens, Sofia confides painful family secrets to him, including mistreatment from her stepfather, while Solomon must also win over his own mother's approval for their union. The story draws thematic parallels to the biblical Song of Songs as it traces the couple's efforts to build a life together despite family opposition and hardship.
