A warm-hearted ventriloquist named Venky, under pressure from a prediction that he must marry soon, travels abroad for a performance and falls for a young woman named Pooja, whose uncle misleads him into believing she returns his affection. When Pooja tries to escape a family-arranged marriage back home, Venky unwittingly gets drawn into a scheme to help her flee, leading to a chain of comic misunderstandings across her family's village and his own in Hyderabad. As the deception unravels, tensions rise between the two families over the truth of Pooja's real feelings and her planned future.
