This 1983 Tamil romantic comedy centers on a spirited young village woman who falls for a widowed schoolteacher raising his infant son alone. When he spurns her advances, she falsely claims he compromised her honor, forcing a village tribunal to order their marriage, after which she must work to win over her resentful new husband.
