Set in Madras, this drama follows Divya, an independent-minded young woman pressured into an arranged marriage with Chandrakumar after her father's health scare, even though she is still emotionally tied to her late love, Manohar. Much of the story unfolds through her recollections of that earlier relationship, contrasted with her difficult adjustment to married life in Delhi. The narrative centers on her struggle to reconcile her memories of the past with the reality of her present marriage.
