A retired railway accountant lives quietly in his family home after the death of his son, finding renewed joy when his grandson, a medical student, arrives for a vacation with a group of college friends. The visit turns tragic when two of the young men are caught in a dangerous sea current during a swim, setting off a desperate search along the coast. The film, directed by Padmarajan, follows the old man's efforts to hold onto hope and comfort his family amid the uncertainty that follows.
