A schoolteacher in the hill town of Ketti comes across a young woman suffering from memory loss after being taken from a hospital and forced into a brothel, and he brings her into his home to shelter and care for her. As she settles into a childlike routine under his protection, the two grow close even as her family searches for her and unexpected dangers threaten the fragile life they've built together. The story follows their bond as efforts are made to help her recover her lost memory.
