This 1971 Hindi dacoit-Western, directed by Raj Khosla, follows Ajit, a small-time thief who is arrested and jailed by a retired army officer, Jaswant Singh, who later gives him work on his farm. Ajit falls in love with Jaswant's daughter Anju, but their lives are upended when he sets out to confront a ruthless bandit terrorizing the region, leading the outlaw to kidnap Anju and lure Ajit into a trap. The film became a commercial hit and is remembered for its popular songs.
