The story follows Arul, a man who left his childhood home in Thanjavur decades earlier after a bitter family property dispute, as he reluctantly returns for a cousin's wedding in Needamangalam. There he is repeatedly drawn into conversation by an overly familiar but warm-hearted relative whose name he never learns to ask, and a planned quick visit turns into an extended stay filled with old memories, family stories, and unexpected bonding. The encounter gradually forces Arul to confront the resentment he has carried since his family's separation.
