Directed by Vinayan — Remya Nambeesan · Renuka Menon · Prithviraj Sukumaran · Ambili Devi · Jagathy Sreekumar

This 2003 Malayalam drama, directed by Vinayan and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ambili Devi, centers on the close bond between Muthu and his physically disabled sister Meera, whom he fiercely protects while struggling to earn enough for her marriage. Their lives are complicated by a manipulative uncle who deceives Muthu out of his savings, a failed dowry negotiation, and Muthu's own tentative romance with a young woman from a wealthier family. The story, adapted from the 1997 film Porkkaalam, explores hardship, family loyalty, and social prejudice against disability in a rural setting.
