This 1986 Malayalam comedy, directed by Priyadarshan from a script by Sreenivasan, follows Madhavan, a US-educated man who arranges to swap identities with his family's driver Shambhu so he can secretly assess a prospective bride from his intended in-laws' wealthy household. The scheme backfires when the bride's family mistakes the driver for the groom, sparking romantic confusion, while a parallel subplot involves an impostor scheming against a rival businessman relative and a mysterious 'brother' who complicates that household's plans too. The tangled deceptions across both families drive an ensemble comedy featuring Mohanlal, Mukesh, Sreenivasan, Jagathi Sreekumar, Maniyanpilla Raju, Kuthiravattam Pappu, and Lissy, with a cameo by Mammootty.
