Set in a village near Usilampatti in Madurai district, this Tamil drama follows the family of Mayandi, whose decision to share ancestral land with his stepsister sparks lasting resentment from his brother Virumandi and his sons. Within Mayandi's own household, tension grows among his sons' wives when he spends heavily to educate his youngest son Paraman, who is pursuing an engineering degree while in love with his schoolmate Poongodi. The story follows how family loyalties, financial pressures, and personal relationships are tested after a sudden tragedy forces a division of the family's property.
