This epic historical drama chronicles the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai, a warrior queen who ruled the Indian princely state of Jhansi in the mid-19th century. After her husband's death, she assumes control of the kingdom and leads her people in resistance against British colonial forces during the Indian Rebellion of 1857, training armies including women soldiers to defend her throne.
