After his girlfriend dies in an accident at a concert, a young man named Shekar suffers a mental breakdown and is placed in a psychiatric facility run by the strict Nagaraj. There, with support from Nagaraj's daughter, a doctor named Geetha, and his friend Raja, Shekar begins to heal, and he and Geetha develop feelings for each other despite her father's objections and plans for her to marry someone else. This 1988 Tamil drama, directed by Robert–Rajasekar, is a remake of a Malayalam film that itself drew on the story behind One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
