Set in a village in western Tamil Nadu, this 2011 Tamil vigilante drama follows a young man who turns outlaw after his father is killed by a local strongman, taking violent revenge and rallying other villagers to his cause. Living in the forest with his followers, he becomes a Robin Hood-like figure who steals from the wealthy to aid the poor, while a determined police officer works to track him down, and two women become entangled in his personal life. The film is framed as a police officer's recollection of these events, and is a remake of an earlier 1983 Tamil film.
