Set in a fantastical desert-like past, this Malayalam epic follows an aging, unbeaten wandering fighter who travels the land with his adoptive father figure and the man's son, taking on local champions and inheriting their homes and wives as spoils of victory. Along the way he picks up a mysterious pregnant-seeming companion and a dancer who falls for him, while a humiliated rival launches a vengeful rampage against him, and his journey eventually brings him back to challenge a foreign ruling fighter king at his original home base. The story blends action, myth, and drama across a sprawling, time-spanning narrative directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and starring Mohanlal in dual roles.
