This 2005 Hindi romantic comedy, directed by David Dhawan, follows Sameer, a charming doctor who tends to charm his female patients as much as treat them, while his nurse Naina remains unmoved by his flirtations. When he falls for a woman named Sonia, he invents a fictional wife to fend off commitment, and enlists Naina to play the part, setting off a chain of tangled lies involving his best friend, his mother, and Sonia's protective neighbour. The film is a remake of the 1969 American movie Cactus Flower, itself based on a French stage play.
