This Hindi-language romantic comedy follows a happy-go-lucky student in Ooty who, after failing his final exam, sets off to Bengaluru hoping to complete his degree at another college. There he falls for a young woman who is being pressured into marrying a corrupt police officer, and his efforts to win her over pull him into a chain of comic confrontations involving her intended husband and, eventually, a powerful gangster's family. Directed by David Dhawan, the film is a Hindi remake of an earlier Telugu comedy.
