Mahanandi is a 2005 Telugu action drama directed by V. Samudra, starring Sumanth, Anushka Shetty and Srihari. After his parents are killed by a rival gang in Rayalaseema, Swamy grows up to become a formidable crime boss seeking vengeance, while an orphan named Shankar, raised by him, becomes his trusted enforcer. Tensions rise when Swamy's sister Nandini, unhappy with an arranged marriage, involves Shankar in her escape plans, creating a rift between the two men just as a rival leader plots to exploit their conflict.
