Maanaadu is a 2021 Tamil sci-fi political action thriller in which a visiting NRI, in town to help a friend elope, gets caught up in a political rally and ends up repeatedly reliving the same day after being killed. As he relives events, he tries to unravel a conspiracy involving corrupt police officials and a plot against a sitting Chief Minister, gradually realizing why he alone seems bound to this repeating day. The film was directed by Venkat Prabhu and stars Silambarasan alongside S. J. Suryah and Kalyani Priyadarshan.
