Set in Telangana under Nizam rule, this Telugu drama follows Ramayya, a landless peasant who witnesses the exploitation and abuse inflicted by feudal landlords on villagers like himself. After leaving his village and working various jobs in Suryapet and Hyderabad, he becomes politically conscious through contact with labor organizers, eventually returning home to take part in the peasant uprising against the Doras and the Nizam's administration. The story is based on a novel about the historical Telangana Rebellion of the late 1940s.
