Set against the backdrop of the Sri Lankan Civil War and the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, this Tamil drama follows police officers Ramakrishnan and Arun as they track LTTE operatives moving through Tamil Nadu, while a parallel investigation traces the group's plot to kill the former Indian prime minister at a political rally. The story also touches on political tensions and unrest that follow the assassination. Directed by R. K. Selvamani and scored by Ilaiyaraaja, the film was shot in the early 1990s but faced a long delay before its eventual censored release in 2007.
