Khudgarz follows two childhood friends from very different backgrounds, Amar and Bihari, whose lifelong bond is tested when a land deal orchestrated by Amar's wealthy father leaves Bihari cheated out of his ancestral property. A scheming employee exploits the growing rift between the two men, fueling years of rivalry as Bihari rebuilds his life from scratch to compete with his former friend's family, even as their children later become entangled in a romance despite the feud. This 1987 Hindi drama, directed by Rakesh Roshan in his debut behind the camera, is based on Jeffrey Archer's novel Kane and Abel.
