This 1999 Hindi romantic comedy centers on Sanju, a petty swindler who owes a large debt to a smuggler and must repay it within a month, with an orphaned girl's safety on the line. To raise the money, he impersonates a wealthy family's unknown overseas relative, infiltrating their household and inadvertently growing close to them, especially the family patriarch's self-doubting daughter, as his scheme unfolds.
