A librarian is entrusted with a mysterious dagger and diary by his detective friend, who is soon murdered. As he attempts to uncover the truth behind the death and the significance of these items, he finds himself caught in a dangerous web of criminal intrigue, encountering suspicious figures and witnessing a series of unexplained killings connected to the dagger.
