Set in a village, this 1988 Telugu drama follows Gopi, a music teacher raised by two guardians, who dreams of becoming a police constable. His life becomes entangled with Radha, the proud daughter of a wealthy local man, after a dispute between them leads her to falsely accuse him of assault with the help of a newly arrived police officer. Their relationship shifts from conflict to romance and marriage, but her father's anger over the union sets off a chain of violence that leaves Gopi wrongly imprisoned and determined to clear his name.
